BRITAIN went UFO crazy after the Daily Star's snapshot of a flying saucer yesterday.

Hundreds of readers bombarded a radio show with tales about close encounters after seeing the amazing "Hawaii UFO" picture. Top DJ Chris Tarrant admitted: "I'm convinced there is something out there," when his breakfast phone-in on London's Capital Radio was jammed by nearly 300 callers minutes after he read out our story live on air.

In a lightning poll all but one of them said they believed in aliens. Chris said: "I once saw a shining light over Salisbury Plain - and I'm sure it was a flying saucer." Our picture showed an orange spaceship with two white lights hovering above Hawaii...
