Chosen To Show The World Part 4

CHAPTER SEVEN

Description: The Return, The Electric Shock Chair

It seems that Betty Andreasson had been taken on a journey away from the alien craft, which she had first entered. Now, she was taken back, and experienced many of the same features along the way. In the semi-cylindrical room, Betty was, this time, put into three chairs, the first of which gave her two electric shocks.

Connections

Note: Any one, or more, of these could also apply to other 'chair' procedures of Betanex.

[2+] FRANCIS BACON 'Study After Velazquez' series - An, January 1999 article, refers to the first two, in an exhibition as: '..showing the 17th-century artist's famous dour Pope Innocent X with his mouth contorted into a grotesque scream, whose sources might be traced to Picasso, Cimabue, and even Sergei Eisenstein's screaming nurse in his classic film Battleship Potemkin. Bacon compulsively re-envisioned and revised Velazquez's pope - shifting perspectives, varying colors, and even letting the figure morph into a monkeyish being.' (Barbara A.MacAdam)

Description: The Return, The Swivel Fixture That Emitted Purplish-Pink Light

After three chair procedures, a 'fixture swiveled over' Betty Andreasson, and 'a bright purplish-color pink light' shone down over her. There were little white streaks also (like light of 'cleansing device').

[2+] During his December 1975 Las Vegas season of concerts, ELVIS PRESLEY first wore his 'Rainfall' jumpsuit.

Graham Knowles stated in Part 8 of 'Jumpsuit Junkie' (Elvis Monthly no.457): 'This.. was a relatively simplistic design when compared to grander '73/'74 outfits. All it consisted of was a falling rain pattern at either side of chest slit. The stones, or raindrops were in two plain sizes. These were placed alternatively to project a falling image. No stones were on the arms, and very few on the legs. He used this jumpsuit in early 1976 at his Cincinnati 21st March show, and even used it again the following year in St.Petersburg 14th February. Only one belt variation seems to have existed, that being: rectangle buckle with two gold squares in it. Surrounding these were evenly spaced large stones (though all stones on the jumpsuit looked black from a distance, they were in fact blue in colour). More gold squares were visible around the belt, making it the most 'bust' part of the outfit.'
