"Who are you?" Jane Simon (journalist) 1986
"Your bulletins really made me think. I won't willingly agree with you because like I said I don't know a lot about the subjects your bulletins touched on; but I can understand what you are saying, what you are getting at… A lot of what you say frightened me…" Sharon May (sec.asst. of Kate Bush magazine Homeground) 1986
CHANCE!
Strangest press release of the week must be GLOBE IN TRANSIT BUREAU Bulletin No.6 - the only publication that attempts to prove the connection between TOYAH 'Ith a mithterwy' WILCOX and UFO's!!!! Bulletin No.4 concerned DAVID BOWIE and the possibility that he might have been taken to the moon by extraterrestrials. No.6 comments that SUSAN HOFFS of the BANGLES claimed in an interview to have seen a UFO shortly after the author had passed her in the street! **NME, 31st October 1987**
"I am very interested in musicians and the paranormal. Indeed I have made radio programmes playing their music and describing background stories about them. So I was fascinated by your collection of tales in your magazine…" Jenny Randles (author & broadcaster on UFOs and the paranormal) 1988
ALIENS HYPE OUR CHARTS!
DID you know that all top 40 singers and musicians have been on board an alien spacecraft? Or that the work of David Bowie and Adam Ant has been influenced by extra-terrestrials? Nor did we until the nutty Globe In Transit Bureau fanzine arrived on this desk. **Daily Mirror, September 26th 1988**
ALIENS AT OUR DOOR
An absolute must for anyone who's mixed up and confused, Aliens At Our Door asks questions about the connections between David Byrne, David Bowie, various world events, Joan Collins and Genesis gig posters… they come up with, in true Ssport-style, the word "Aliens". Repeat formula until you can't remember what page your on. **Offbeat magazine, January 1989**
"..As a whole your work is very interesting to me, somehow in your theory of extraterrestrial involvement in music there is a gap in my belief, I haven't figured out what it is that doesn't fit for me yet but no doubt I will. Do you believe Alien control runs further than music but this is what you choose to concentrate on? Perhaps it's that I don't want to believe, I find the mood and feel of the bulletins quite eerie… I saw the mention in the Daily Mirror, I was quite excited and also sorry they chose to label you nutty, oh well never mind…" Jon Barraclough 1990
AN H-BOMB IN REVERSE (£1.20 UK, £1.40 elsewhere to Daniel, 11 Wharton St., London WC1X 9PX): Subtitled 'Jim Morrison and the Aliens: A Preliminary Report', this publication assesses the connection between the Lizard King and aliens, and concludes that their influence was indeed very strong. A fresh approach to a rock legend! **Record Collector magazine, February 1990**
GLOBE IN TRANSIT BUREAU. Information concerning the possible involvement of extra-terrestrials in both music and the media. Disturbing? Laughable? Just plain interesting? Find out by writing to Daniel, 11 Wharton St., London, WC1X 9PX. Uncertain of prices, so send sae and find out. **Grim Humour, July 1990**
"Many thanks for the material you sent me from G.I.T. It is most interesting and useful. I'm not sure I agree with some of your statements but your research is excellent" Andy Roberts (author/researcher) 1990
"Certainly, our mutual work is shrouded in cover-ups, ignorance and suppression, not only by the governments, but by the press who distort the truth, sensationalise witnesses' accounts, trivialise ufologists' work and are generally out to mince fact into an unpalatable mass of half-truth and lies. The history of ufology has certainly seen much cover-up from the establishment, based not just on perverting the exchange of information on UFOs to the public, but also by a web of deceit and lies to cover up their ignorance of the phenomenon. As you say, we must fight any kind of suppression (be it by sceptics, sensationalists, or government), by silence or obstruction. You have my full support Daniel" Clive Potter, 1990
"The public statement in GIT Documented I found very sad to read. I have found though that as a whole people aren't that interested in someone else's great truths; if you've ever read any psychology books repeatedly they refer to the failure of the human mind to hold on to ideas, however amazing presented to it…" Jon Barraclough, 1990
"A couple of oddities to report on. I had a batch of stuff from GIT - the acronym somewhat unfortunately chosen by 'Globe in Transit' newsletter. I haven't yet decoded what they are aiming to do; although there are lots of strange snips about rock stars, UFOs and space - eg the late (very late) Jim Morrison of the Doors and alien contact. This forms part of 'An H-Bomb in Reverse': which is an 18 pp A4 photocopied tract on Morrison's life, rock songs on space, UFO encounters and other related myths and legends. If you are into this sort of thing (or have an acute case of terminal weirdness) then GIT and co will probably appeal. Apparently some 49 numbered copies of a limited run of 'H-Bomb' are on sale. Check out post office windows for a little card announcing details or (more seriously) send £1.30 to.." ** Northern UFO News, December 1990**
"..Interested and unexplainable, couldn't quite get the grasp of your "H-Bomb in reverse" but then again everything is unexplainable… Good read though, and after 2nd or 3rd read I had come together a certain resolvement over your book/pamphlet, I'd call it a book cos it's too well made for anything else, serious man its good…" Richard Ford, 1991
"I do believe in what you are doing and find your research highly original and very promising... I have now come to the acceptance that certain individuals can in fact be influenced by what can only be described as "alien" elements. I agree with your response to Robert Girard concerning your researches on David Bowie and the alien influence on his work…" Clive Potter, 1991
