EVIDENCE OF A COSMIC PLAN: THE DANIEL W.FRY-ELTON JOHN CONNECTION

"..As the light went through the violet band, the craft had risen several thousands of feet in the air, and I could follow it no longer.

A strong sense of depression settled over me then. I felt as though my work and consequently my life had lost all significance. A few hours before, I had been a rather self-satisfied engineer, setting up instruments for the testing of one of the largest rocket motors in existence. While I realized that my part in the project was a small one, I felt that, through my work, I was traveling in the forefront of progress.

Now I knew that rocket motors, however efficient they might be, had been obsolete for thousands of years. I felt like a small and insignificant cog in a clumsy and backward science, which was moving only toward its own destruction..."

*Daniel W.Fry, from 'The White Sands Incident,' 1954*

"..And all this science I don't understand. It's just my job five days a week - A rocket man.. A rocket man..."

In April 1972, the Elton John single 'Rocket Man' was issued. It was a song from his 'Honky Chateau' LP, which was to be released in the next month.

The first lines of the song had come to Elton's lyricist Bernie Taupin while he was driving alone in Lincolnshire:

"The words just came into my head: 'She packed my bags last night, pre-flight. Zero-hour is nine am.' I remember jumping out of the car and running into my parents' house shouting 'Please don't anyone talk to me until I've written this down.'"

(Quoted in 'Elton' by Philip Norman)

'Rocket Man' made number 2 in the British singles chart, and was a worldwide success:
"While playing Houston on his spring 1972 tour, with 'Rocket Man' flying high, Elton asked to be allowed to visit the NASA space centre. It was no mere publicist's photo-opportunity. He and the band spent four hours at NASA, lunching with Al Worden, the Apollo 15 pilot, even trying out a flight simulator..."
In January of the next year, a single was issued from Elton's 'Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only The Piano Player' LP entitled 'Daniel.' The song was inspired by a press article about a Vietnam veteran leaving America. The lyrics of 'Daniel' - which was a big hit - involve him taking a flight to Spain in an aircraft.

The newspaper piece about Daniel Fry that is shown with this report refers to him as a "rocket man" ("He added somewhat apprehensively that he is still a rocket man for a local concern and hopes to have the job after his bosses hear of the experience"). In September 1978, when many of Elton John's singles were re-issued, 'Rocket Man' and 'Daniel' were issued together on a single.

Elton's October 1973 LP release 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' included a hit single lyrically concerning Marilyn Monroe entitled 'Candle In The Wind.'

There is another link here with the Daniel Fry alien contact experience.

"..And it seems to me you lived your life like a candle in the wind. Never knowing who to cling to when the rain set in.." (E.John/B.Taupin)

"You know what I mean," Alan replied, "In your greatest book of wisdom and philosophy which you call the Holy Bible, a copy of which you were kind enough to send me along with the other books, it is stated, 'When a man has lighted a candle, he does not place it under a bushel, but holds it forth so that men may be guided by its light.' We have expended considerable time and patience in the effort to light a few candles among the many nations of your planet. It has been our hope that the light of these candles might grow in brilliance until they expose the terrible abyss toward which the people of your world are so blindly rushing. We have given you information which is both of interest and of value to your people. Why do you keep it to yourself?"

"In the first place," I said, "I was afraid that any report by me might endanger your proposed visit on Earth, if you still plan to make it. In the second place, I am unknown. Except for a few people in the rocket business, no one has ever heard of me. How could I reach the people, and who would listen if I could?"

"Those who are not blind to truth can recognise the value of a message regardless of the status of the messenger," Alan replied..."

('The White Sands Incident'/Daniel W.Fry)

It seems, however, that not all of the messengers are of unknown status. Perhaps Marilyn Monroe, Elton John and Bernie Taupin were/are amongst the candles 'they' have lit among the nations of our world. 'Candle In The Wind' was released as a single in February 1974. Four months later, Elton's 'Caribou' LP came out - it includes a song called 'I've Seen The Saucers'!!

"The greatest need of your race, your civilization and your society today, is simple, basic understanding between man and his fellowman, between nation and nation, and between all men and that greater power and intelligence that pervades and controls all nature. Understanding is the key to survival for your race...."
