Star Communion Report 1 Update 2: The Rolling Stones

The guide, issue dated June 3-June 9, 2000, had an interview with Bill Wyman. On Flying Saucers, he said:

"I think maybe 10% are genuine. The media tend to really kill it because it's the only way of stopping everyone getting shit scared. There actually are beings who might be cleverer than us and might use us as cattle fodder, so they just ridicule it and fob it off. But don't read all that codswallop in the National Enquirer, look at the factual evidence. I'm very logical, very black and white, and when I'm presented with proven facts I have to think about it."

Millennium Dome Update: Salvador Dali

The Millennium Dome is not only redolent of a painting by John Marin, there is also a similarity with the base of a work by Salvador Dali called 'The Angel Cross' (1960; Tokyo, private coll.). A colour reproduction (no.1008) can be found in the book 'Dali' by Robert Descharnes and Gilles Neret.

The section 'The Monarchical Dali' in the book 'Dali by Dali' (1970), includes an illustration of the 'Cupola of the dome of the museum of Figueras,' by the architect Emilio Perez Pinero, and Dali writes: '..Pinero, the greatest architect of any monarchy, lived during the royal hour of Spain's past glory, and, like his country, he possessed the art of balancing the concentric and the eccentric. Ledoux had envisaged for the French people the architecture of absolute monarchy, that is spherical architecture. The second great monarchistic architect is my good friend Buckminster Fuller, known throughout the world as the creator of the geodesic dome, who said that in Spain Pinero had created reticular domes based exclusively on a rigidity which he himself had been unable to discover...'
