We watched it for 15 to 20 seconds before it disappeared, after describing a sweeping curve. It was impossible to judge the height at which this mysterious object was flying. It left behind a luminous wake. The nearest we can get to describing the colour of the object was that it looked as if it were made of dry concrete, with a slight metallic reflection. Its dimension was about that of the sun at the moment of its disappearance over the horizon. I have seen meteorites falling before now, but what we saw did not resemble them at all." (Guieu/LG8)
